About the Canadian Association of Public Data Users

CAPDU is a member of the Learned Society of Canada. Its annual meeting occurs in conjunction with the Learneds three years out of four, the exception being when the IASSIST (International Association for Social Science Information Service and Technology) conference is held in Canada. This should occur next in the year 2003.

Membership in CAPDU is open to users, distributors, and producers of data within Canada.

CAPDU has both a formal organizational structure and officers.

As of the May 16, 1999 annual business meeting, membership in CAPDU costs $25 per year (Canadian). Institutional memberships have been established at twice the cost of an individual membership. For details on how to pay your membership dues, please contact the treasurer.
